Would you wear an Asymmetrical Skirt?

9:52:00 PM

I love asymmetrical skirts. Being a person who loves chaos and deviation, I hopped into the bandwagon when this became the fad. You can see it on this post, back in my early blogging days, and this one, which is more recent. Those skirts were exactly the same, except for the color. This is a trend back in 2011, when I still can't find one in basic stores. And it became a hit again for the present year. Who doesn't love flowy skirts that can strike a balance between long and short? I only wore maxi skirts last year because I didn't believe they can be flattering. I'm glad I was wrong. I can do anything with this type of skirt without being self-conscious because I lead an active lifestyle. My mom will approve! He he. The trick here is to wear a fit top, to give the look some structure. My hair turns into beach hair when it isn't combed so I let it be for this shoot, and I chose not to wear accessories.

And since my legs can fool people because of its length (it's not really that long), I can get away with sandals. Asymmetrical skirts look even better when worn with heels, but flats will work, too. This is a versatile piece, even though it may not look like so. It can go from day to night, by choosing the right footwear.

  7. Aww you look lovely. I never have worn an asymmetrical skirt, but I would if it was the right style, length, and print. I think they can be extremely dope when done right, you know?

  28. I’ve never actually worn a asymmetrical skirt before!! I hardly tend to wear skirts in London, not just because its freezing but I never have to confidence to actually wear a skirt. But back in my ‘home’ country its extremelyyyy hot, so I might pop into some shops and seek a similar skirt!

  29. Assymetrical skirts are really neat, especially when they're short in the front and long in the back, or even better when the sides are short and the fronts and backs are long! I like all the kinds, buwahaha. Those are some funky sandals, too.
