Update on the Maxi Skirt11:12:00 PM
With summer just around the corner, I can't help but rummage in my closet to find items I haven't worn for forever. That is one of the challenges of fashion blogging--continuously finding pieces without breaking the bank. I think I had this skirt since high school yet this is the first time I've ever worn it.
Sorry to digress. There was a time when maxi skirts were all the range, especially tight fitting ones with high slits ala Kylie Jenner. They're great, but there will always be days when all you want is to chill and not worry about your body. So this skirt comes in, with its drawstring waist, layered cloths and flowy fabric. The cut is also a deviation, or maybe an update from the sexy maxi's we know. No offense meant to anyone, but I only see these in churches. I used to think I can't pull of this look, but because comfort > everything else now, this skirt tops the list! I just added my stripe top and comfortable sandals and I'm off for a relaxing day out. This can also work as a cover up once I hit the beach again!
