Rainy Day Outfit6:38:00 PM
With the rainy season permeating our days, I can relate well with the "I'm-too-lazy-to-do-anything-but-sleep" tweets of my friends. All I wanna do is sip matcha tea and blog. But a person's gotta work! So I brave the metro, hoping the rain won't pour while I'm out. But what do you do when it starts to drizzle? Usually, people become grumpy, socks are wet, traffic becomes terrible (as if the state of our transportation system ain't enough!), and you can't find a ride going home. What better way to face the rain than to be appropriately dressed for it? Rain coats are convenient to have, especially since most of us can't afford being sick and miss work or school. But as I have noticed, all there are in department stores and shops are formless sheets of plastic. That is why I felt a tinge of satisfaction when I spotted this cute raincoat at an ukay-ukay. Why can't all the raincoats be this pretty? I wish they made it longer, though. I didn't wear jeans because when it get wet, the fabric will cling onto your skin, and it'll be uncomfortable as heck. It's better to bring loads of tissues to wipe yourself off, than withstand 3 awful hours of driving with wet clothes, am I right?
And to complete this look, a matching umbrella! My sister wanted to use this transparent umbrella that is solely used for rain, yet I also have a pink umbrella with trimmings. I'm not a fan of using plastic sandals, but it comes in handy during days like this. It's the easiest material to wipe and dry. It can be slippery though, so be extra careful.
Rainy days are here, so don't forget to eat your fruits and stay safe and dry, everyone!
