Casual Weekend Outfit

8:04:00 PM

I have to admit, the past couple of months have been brutal. There are times I felt like a failure. Like my university degree and Latin honors didn't amount to anything. And it doesn't, given this rotten economic state of our country--I live in a developing one where BPO industries are flourishing. I have nothing against call centers, I just know I'm not fit to for the job. My major isn't "unmarketable" like Medieval Literature, so why am I not getting hired? I also want to change career path, to international studies and development, and employers are looking for Political Science majors, of course. Of course. I know what this is, I am suffering from capitalism. And not only does it kill civilians because of war against terror, but it also kills your spirit. Looking for a job is the most frustrating and demoralizing thing I did/do. I can feel my confidence waning, after four months of this awfully tedious routines. Sigh...

Sorry for the soliloquy. I noticed that most fashion bloggers are gravitating towards simplicity.  Maybe it coincided with the end of Lady GaGa's outrageous outfits? She, too, has a simpler style--in clothes and music, but her vocal prowess is still incomparable. For this look, I thought of quiet moments strolling in the park or the mall. Denim and white always look crisp and fresh, don't you think? And to not make the outfit too drab, I wore accessories in matching colors. I recently bought a bunny ears flats and I relish it. I've been wanting one since they came out years ago, and then I saw this one! I was going for the cat or dog design or even the cat and dog design, but this one is much cooler and cuter. Right? I'm ready for the weekend!

  3. Hi :)

It's just sad to hear that you're thinking of changing a career because you cannot find a job with the course that you graduated from. I hope you get to find one before this year ends. Anyway, I like you top! I have 2 tops like that and I want more. Haha. My casual outfit would be a pair of jeans, my favorite t-shirt and sandals. :)

  4. Aw girl, I can totally feel your pain. I live in a country rotten by corruption on every single level and I even had the bravery (or stupidity) to return back and start business.
Keep fighting, love, it's only depends on us to make a change!

  6. Hey, I'm sorry to hear you've had some tough months, but I'm sure you'l get back on track with everything!
I've always leaned towards more monochrome and simplistic outfits. And Lady Gaga is certainly not my fashion icon ;))
